How Sifti uses AI

Sifti uses automated systems to assess whether a public web page may be worth your attention.

What happens when you Sift a link

Sifti sends the public URL to a page-extraction service, then sends a limited version of the extracted page text to an AI provider. The AI proposes a summary, recommendation and scores. Sifti stores that result in your private account.

How the scores combine

The current overall score combines four dimensions: Credibility 25%, Accountability 15%, Usefulness 35% and Substance 25%. These current weights do not describe assessments produced by a previous scoring model. For new assessments, the model is instructed to use 6/10 as a guideline for Keep and to recommend Discard below it; Sifti does not enforce that correspondence between score and verdict. Material concerns it flags can justify Discard even above 6/10; they do not turn a low-scoring item into a Keep. The written reason on each result is the only explanation specific to that item. Scores are an assessment, not a probability or a guarantee.

Treat every result as an estimate

AI-generated assessments can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Check the original source before relying on a result. Sifti is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.

Help improve the filter

After each completed Sift, you can rate the assessment as Accurate, Partly or Missed and optionally explain what was wrong.
